About TAP

The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) listens to taxpayers, identifies taxpayers’ issues, and makes suggestions for improving IRS service and customer satisfaction. Everyone has something to say about IRS customer service. With TAP, you can have your say and help inspire improvements to the IRS.

We Want to Hear From You

Share your suggestions for how the IRS can improve its services, enhance the taxpayer experience, and protect taxpayer rights.

Know Before Submitting

The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel cannot address personal tax issues. If your tax issue is causing an immediate financial hardship or you have been unable to resolve your issue with the IRS, use the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) qualifier tool to help determine if they can assist you.
